Waterloo Region ASSETS+ Project (WRAP) is a comprehensive 10 week Business Training Program designed to teach individuals how to start their own micro-business or if they already have on operating business, how to expand it. The course is a step by step method to help participants of the program write a business plan which applies to their own individual business. After graduation, participants enter into phase 2 of the program and form support groups. In phase 2 of the program, graduates are eligible to apply for micro-loans and mentors and to attend Business Technical Assistance seminars designed to strengthen and enhance their business.
Course fees are based on total family income. LICO (low income cut-offs) are used as a basis to determine what an individual pays for the course.
We offer bursaries and scholarships to qualifying individuals so that course fees are not a deterrent to participating in the program.
